I just love the "emerald season". At every turn the colours "pop", no need to enhance on photoshop! "A day spent without the sight or sound of beauty, the contemplation of mystery, or the search of truth or perfection is a poverty-stricken day; and a succession of such days is fatal to human life. -Lewis Mumford (1895-1990)"

the whole female population of the nearby villages seem to move to the river daily! The Caia bridge spans the Zambezi River and is named after Armando Emilio Guebuza. With a length of 2376 metres and width of 16 m.

Yes, this is just a pile of rusty chains, but look deeper and see all the colours! Rust (yes, da!!), so many shades and tones of greys, blues, golds, copper and reds! Lets take the time today to really look deeper into what we normally pass by without a second glance, and BE THANKFUL...,

Driving put of our place this morning, I came across 2 sewage waste trucks releasing their "load" of Tete you know what! This is only a few metres from our fence! We have been invaded by swarms of flies and now I see why! Discouraged about living in such a filthy place, I looked through past images to remind myself that there is still beauty if we look past it all! Encouraged I was..
